Auckland storm!

Oh dear……

“NIWA said there’s a chance severe wind gusts of up to 110 kmh could hit across the Auckland region between 7 and 11pm on Tuesday evening.”

Now with one eye on the Commonwealth Games and the other on the tree over the road gradually loosing branches.

Auckland airport has now closed! Twitter is reporting power outages all around the suburbs……… we have insurance for the car right?!

The morning after………..

Winds were measured up to 213kmh not far from here. 200,000 homes without power. The road we took from Taupo to Napier a week ago is closed for snow!

We are fine and the sun is out!
