Today we are catching the Shonan-Shinjuku Line to Fujisawa, then the Enoshima Line and crossing on to the island.
A steep hot climb through the tori gate to the first shrine.

Once at the shrine we realise this is the one that you can pay for an escalator! A bit late you may say, but no, there were two more escalators!
Another simple but clever idea, a phone stand to take a selfie.

A great view of mount Fuji from the sea candle.

Down to the sea caves. There was a pile of photographers part way down, we think for the huge kites we had seen swooping nearby.

A little street food on the way back, a Japanese shrimp cracker and the other is octopus.

The next trip is on the Enoden Line, a scenic electric single line route often featured in Anime films. We had a crowd of photographers as we passed a certain spot made famous in the film Slam Dunk.
At Hase is Kotoku-in, the big budda. Surprisingly you can go inside!

A short bus ride to a local bamboo forest. They call it a forest though it wasn’t enough to keep a panda.

Another shrine, this time with a tea room and zen garden. The far end of this bamboo was by drippng water which then echoed through the pole and there was also a very low didgeridoo tone.

Back to Kamakura for another shrine, this time with a pond full of lillies, turtles and rather jumpy koi.
A Girrafa stop for the most delicious curry pan. I was only just in time as they close when they run out, so I must have had one of the last.

Time to see if we like sake. Not quite sure why they pour it in the box too?

For the journey to Yokohama we upgraded to the green car. Normal train carriages are like an underground train with seats at the side. The green car, has comfort and reclining!

In Yokohama a trip over the water in the gondola gave for great views of the bay. Likewise the Cosmo Clock, a ferris wheel. We chose a fully see through pod.

Tonight’s restaurant is on floor 46 in a hotel with great views over the bay, however extremely hard to find. We nearly gave up! Not just us it seems as Google’s request for assistance was to help people find it!

The final train of the day was direct straight to the stop by our hotel for a pricely sum of £2.35 each. Not bad for a 50 minute trip!
A quick one in our local. One of our fave beers.

It looks amazing- I would have liked to hear what was around in the woodland.
